Kenzo Tange
Prizker Prize winner Kenzo Tange is described as one of the most important architects of the 20th century. Born in Osaka Japan in 1913, Tange received a degree in engineering in 1959 and founded Kenzo Tange + Urtec which later became Kenzo Tange Associates.

Tange was best known for his talent at combining modernism with traditional Japanese design, resulting in awards from the AIA, RIBA and French Academy of Architecture. As an assistant professor of architecture, he taught thousands of architects and countless others were influenced by his style.
