      Located in the foothills near Los Angeles, the headquarters for The Conrad N. Hilton Foundation was planned for net-zero energy consumption. Completed in 2012, this LEED Platinum, ZGF master planned and designed building features exterior s_enn® sunshade systems. The automated stainless steel rolling shutters provide optimal daylighting on high sun angle elevations, while still managing glare and maintaining views to the outside. The project features 28 6ft x 9ft systems, all connected to sun and wind sensors for maximum energy efficiency and protection of the systems in high-winds. One of the first s_enn installations in the country, the project also features a solar thermal heating system, water-cooled chilling, and a planted roof.
