Five Gables Inn & Spa

In St. Michael's, Maryland, a historic fishing village on the Chesapeake Bay, Five Gables Inn & Spa welcomes a steady stream of visitors. Marrying several homes constructed in the 1860s, the inn offers 20 guest rooms, plus common areas and a full-service spa.

Constructed in close collaboration with the local historical commission, Five Gables' interiors balance quaint charm - including antique furnishings and traditional fabric patterns - with creature comforts like whirlpool tubs, gas fireplaces, indoor swimming pool, and a sauna/steam room.

Palm Beach™ Shutters by Hunter Douglas were installed throughout to provide a similar blend of traditional looks and modern function. The shutters' clean, white frames and slats with tilt bars fit the environment perfectly, while their sturdy, aluminum-reinforced frames and polysatin finish resist the rigors of guests seeking the view, the seaside humidity, and the heat of summer sun.
