Techstyle Acoustical Ceilings Introduces New Colors, Sizes (release)
15 December, 2003

When you're hot, you're hot, and Techstyle Acoustical Ceilings from Hunter Douglas is sizzling. Following up on the success of the spring 2003 launch of the orginal Techstyle ceiling panels, the company proudly announces new additions to the line. These new products consist of two new textile colors -- off-white and black -- and new 2'x 5' and 2'x 6' panel format. All new items are currently available and feature the same advanced acoustical properties and monolithic appearance that the original panels are known for, as well as the ingenious clip / hinge system that allow the panels to swing down, providing easy access to the plenum.

Prior to the new introductions, Techstyle panels were only available in a bright white hue with a subtle cool blue undertone. The addition of off-white panels with a warm creamy cast and flat black panels provides professionals with the creative tools they need to design interiors that require a different ambiance. Restaurants, theaters, lobbies, clubs, bars and so forth have different needs and commonly strive for a more dramatic mood, making them perfect candidates for the newest color introductions.

The new 2'x 5' and 2'x 6' format also offers professionals more creative design freedom and can be used with any of the other existing panel formats (2'x 2', 2'x 4', and 4'x 4'). The longer panels are especially dramatic when hung in an ashlars or brick pattern.

"Designers, architects, and commercial contractors can utilize these new Techstyle panels in many exciting applications because they provide them with the creative means to do so," explains Dilip Joglekar, Vice President and General Manager of Hunter Douglas Architectural Products.
